Awesome news

I spoke with my publisher. I’m hoping that you guys aren’t sick of me yet, because there are going to be a lot more books coming out over the next few years. 🙂

I’m happy to say that in the future you will see the following from me:

1. A sci-fi/post-apocolyptic/steampunk collaboration trilogy with John Ringo.  (but you guys already knew about this one)

2. The next two novels with Mike Kupari in the Dead Six series. Swords of Exodus and Project Blue.

3. Much more Monster Hunter, including Monster Hunter Legion, Monster Hunter Nemesis, Monster Hunter Guardian, and Monster Hunter Omega.

4. More Grimnoir Chronicles, including book 3 of the trilogy, Warbound, and two other stand alone novels set in different time periods.  1908 and 1859.

5. An epic fantasy trilogy. I can’t say too much about this one yet, but it is excellent. I’m loving the universe. I grew up on epic fantasy and this will be my first foray into the genre. It is a big, sprawling world, filled with violence, intrigue, slavery, religious fanatics, and one really mean ocean.

6. A stand alone sci-fi novel about a reality TV show where teams of contestants compete to overthrow a small African country. More will be said about this one later.  Super Author John Brown said that this one is the most interesting pitch he’s ever heard.

Basically, I’m booked for the next 8 years. Figure 2 books a year with other shorts and so forth. It is nice to never have to say that you’re bored. 🙂

  1. I don’t know about you, sir, but given such a cornucopia, boredom won’t be big on my problem list for a while, either. 🙂

  2. Congrats Larry!

I’m really looking forward to the future Grimnoir books. Your first two MH books were big fun, but Hard Magic was on another level.

Thanks again for the reads and the patch. Good luck with everything.

  3. All totally awesome Larry. Looking forward to them.

I also look forward to the day when you tackle my favorite genre, Space Opera! 😉

  4. Still teasing me with such few details regarding the epic fantasy trilogy and the stand alone sci-fi reality tv show. I would probably cut off my pinky to get some more info, when do you think we can know more?

  5. Let’s see… I’m counting about 20 books there. At say, about, $10/book on average (I’m assuming most of them will be paperbacks, here) you’ve got at least $200 in sales from me alone…

  6. That’s some excellent news. It sounds like a great line up. I especially like the Reality TV show idea.

Now, if we can just get Baen to release the e-arc for Dead Six and I’ll be happy.

  7. Awesome. It makes me so happy to see you’ve got so much on the way. I hate it when my favorite authors go years between anything.

    1. That’s how Larry usurped John Ringo as my favorite author. John’s still second but Larry is a bit more consistent…

  8. Just have to say that this is a whole 55 gallon hefty bag of awesome. Looking forward to all of them. Just don’t let Ringo warp you too much. 🙂

  9. Good job, Larry! At least you know all of us fanslavs with pay to read your great novels! Yes I said, FANSLAVS! As in surfs. As in we are at your command! Now go write away! We shall be waiting with with cash in hand!

(I am soooooo excited about DeadSix and all of the other MHI masterpieces coming down the pike!)

  10. “6. A stand alone sci-fi novel about a reality TV show where teams of contestants compete to overthrow a small African country.”

I’d watch! Its going to air on Fox, right?

    1. Yeah, or History International. Maybe Nat Geo if the camera work is good enough. I just wonder if some TV producer will snarf the idea before the book can be written?

  11. I’d like to mention that Baen has a cover for Spellbound up on the Publishing Schedule page of the site. I don’t know if it’s legit or a place holder but you should all go take a look.

  12. I’m just waiting for you to announce that you are going to work on “Monster Hunter: The Christmas Noun”. Now that is a crossover I would love to see! 🙂

  13. I’m going to have to dedicate an entire bookcase in my library to your stuff, and I’m not sure it’s going to be enough room!
Btw, I agree with Scott Deering, that elf princess has GOT to make it into her own short story/novella something. Elf Princess and the Orc Brigade….=D

  14. Two thoughts:

Regarding your epic fantasy trilogy, might I suggest finding and reading The Tough Guide to Fantasyland by Diana Wynne Jones and “The Evil Overlord List” (http://eviloverlord.com/lists/overlord.html). If you haven’t done so already, that is. While both are a mixed blessing for readers (you’ll never look at an epic fantasy the same way again). they’re useful for writers seeking to avoid some of the dumber cliches of epic fantasy.

As for A stand alone sci-fi novel about a reality TV show where teams of contestants compete to overthrow a small African country.

This is … delightfully twisted. I look forward to learning more.

  15. The John Ringo collaboration is going to rock. It can’t not. REALLY looking forward to that, and to the continuing of the Grimnoir Chronicles series :).

  16. I know Monster Hunter Nation knows how entertaining Larry is, but do you know how rare it is for a publisher to committ to 15-16 books? They commit to a book, a trilogy, maybe a series of five. But to project out 15 books in 4 different series?

World domination is coming soon . . . it’s name is Correia.

    1. I have friends and relatives in the writing business so I do know how rare and TOTALLY AWESOME that is! 😀

      Way to go Larry!

  17. Good work Larry, and Congrats.

Now get back on the phone with that fine publisher and get me a Dead Six E-Arc already. I’m stuck in the UK with a bad Tom Clancy novel, the Fire and Ice series that I’m not in the mood to read, and the Federalist. And I don’t feel like being reminded by the founders just how badly the current .gov has been screwing things up.

I can’t even go shooting to relieve a little stress. Somehow, I think if I told the people I’m working with what I do for fun, they’d flip.

  18. Awesome!!! Awesome!!! Awesome!!! Can’t wait, love Monster Hunter and Grimnoir. As a greedy fan I love this. Larry you don’t need a life, just keep writing non-stop for me. “Evil laughter and lighting stikes in the background.”

  19. Larry Correia + John Ringo = Epic Win

I love Mr. Ringo’s books but I never care for his endings… maybe you could take over that part. 🙂

  20. “6. A stand alone sci-fi novel about a reality TV show where teams of contestants compete to overthrow a small African country. More will be said about this one later. Super Author John Brown said that this one is the most interesting pitch he’s ever heard.”

Who told you about my adventures in Africa?

  21. “1. A sci-fi/post-apocolyptic/steampunk collaboration trilogy with John Ringo. (but you guys already knew about this one)”

I didn’t know about this one but I’m pumped about it just the same.

You don’t strike me as the kind of guy who buys into the climate change heard mentality. So I’m guessing that the apocolyptic event isn’t a “man caused disaster” but what some in the scientific community call an extinction level cosmic event.

  22. So pumped to hear that there will be more books in the Monster Hunter series. I hope it becomes a long lasting series cause they are some of the greatest books I have read. Most of the time I don’t even bother with sci-fi books but this series has had me hooked from day one

  23. Do we have any news about the future Monster Hunter books? I’ve read them all at least 4 times, but I’m anxious to see what’s going to happen next!

      1. Oh boy, that’s kinda far. I guess I’ll just read them all again a day or two before Nemesis comes out then! Since I can read two of them in a day, I don’t want to have too much of a headstart!

        Thanks for the update!

  24. You are the only present author I can think of who would have a decent chance at completing Roger zelazny Amber series Karl Edward Wagner or Howard could have done it and I think you could do it. Very best regards hi I have really enjoyed all of your work
