For the actual books we are just waiting for them to be printed. That’s out of our control, but we are getting really close to this project being fulfilled. You guys are going to love it. The book came out great.

  1. Can’t wait to see the book. We are gonna download the pdf tonight. Exciting times are ahead.

  2. Wow, that is a lot of book. I downloaded my PDF copy and was shocked at the 300 page size! The hero system seems a little more daunting than I had anticipated.

The MHI stuff looks cool. The only part I am not thrilled with are some of the artist depictions. Having Owen look aft as sin was a good move. The women look to butch though. Julie is passable but Holly is way off from how I envision her based on the descriptions in the book. Trip also appears a little more buff than I anticipated. Overall though I think those depictions are a result of the style used for all the characters.

That is nitpicking though. Overall this is a huge tome with a plethora of information. I can’t wait to sit down with a big hard copy and go through it.

    1. Hero System is pretty straightforward. Character design with take a bit of arithmetic, but it’s not complicated unless you want to load up powers with advantages and disadvantages–but for player characters in this setting, you won’t be doing that.
In the Bonus Material, there’s a two page quickstart rule set — start with that.

  3. Any chance of there being finished copies available at CONduit at the end of the month? It would be cool to see it there, perhaps even see if someone would put up a game session for it.

  4. Am I the only one who pulled a total Navin R. Johnson when I saw that my name was in there in the credits?

    I’m somebody!

    1. I didn’t, but only because I opted out. (I really should be more careful about doing that.)

Did anybody else recognize who they got to model the body armor?

  5. The campaign is going great Larry, I’ve got my parents and two older siblings playing with me as GM. 🙂 They are more used to D&D but they got the hang of the HERO system pretty quick. I’m doing a Crimson Pact crossover, with MHI using jewel dust rounds instead of silver, and its working OK. I might have to post the campaign logs over on the forum. anyway, Thanks for making the RPG happen, and for making an awesome world, I’m a huge fan

  6. NOOOOOOOOOOO! There is no information on gremlins (WWII kind). I am pretty sure I have one living in my truck that loves to mess with the electrical system, and have no clue on how to get rid of it or at least stop it from messing with my truck. Shooting up my truck is not a good option. 😛

Otherwise awesome. Never played an RPG game before but have been wanting to get into them. Now I just need to find a group of players.

    1. Check with your local gaming store. Most gaming stores have bulletin boards where people can post ads looking for gaming groups or particular styles of games to play. If they don’t have a board, you can always ask the store employees if they know of any groups looking for additional players.

If there’s a local sci-fi convention in your area, that can be a good way to find a gaming group too.

  7. Just a thought… What about a Grimnoirverse RPG? I’m reading Spellbound right now after somehow ending up reading Hard Magic and the Warbound eARC. I think it would make the basis of an awesome game.
