This first panel isn’t one of mine, but it is possibly the most important panel at any DragonCon, ever. It is the lovely Mrs. Correia’s first ever panel appearance.

Odd question. Will any of these be on youtube or some other streaming site?
Probably not, but I would love to see the improv one!!
That is disappointing. I would like to see the grimdark and the magnificent men panels.
Attendees can purchase streaming access to “DragonConTV”, which includes access to the recordings for a few months after the Con.
I was hoping they would but the ballrooms they mention recording aren’t the ones on the list above. Which is a bummer.
That is disappointing.
You left out the kilt blowing at 1:00 am Sunday: http://thedevilspanties.com/archives/12029
LOL. What a wonderfully silly event.
The question is, what kind of kilt will the ILOH be sporting? A tasteful tartan or something more from the leather couture?
I’m surprised to see a Grimdark panel on here. I wouldn’t consider anything you’ve written to be grimdark (I *really* don’t like grimdark). Unless there’s some definition of that term that I’m not aware of.
Random question: can anyone tell me how much time has passed in the MHI story from the beginning of the series until the end of the most recent one? I’m curious where we’re at in the timeline now.
Well, at least nine months if we go by Julie…
Off the top of my head at the start of Vendetta Owen “had not even been doing this for a year” and Legion takes place in January of 2010-2016 (SHOT show is occurring and Harry Reid is still in office)
I think some people use “grimdark” to mean any story with a pessimistic setting and a not-completely-happy ending. To me, it really means a story where everything sucks, there’s no real difference between the good guys and the bad guys, and heroism is ultimately futile. There may be good stories in the vein, but I’ve yet to read one.
That’s what I’ve understood it to be. Game of Thrones and that ilk.
Game of Thrones (the TV series, I’ve not read the books) seems to be moving away from that. I think whether or not it is considered grimdark will depend on how it ends.
In her panel, will the International Lady of Hate discriminate in feeding gay, trans and authors of color? How else will she keep her title?
I want o go so much!!!!!
Oh man, this sounds like so much fun! Everyone who’s going, enjoy! ^o^
Wow! Busy schedule. Look forward to seeing you at Missing Volume.
Thank you. If I don’t come home with the only autograph that mattets2, I’m gonna be in some feep poo doo.
Congratulations on back-to-back Dragon Award wins, Larry! 🙂
Second the Congratulations.
Congratulations!
BTW, I voted for you two, which undoubtedly put you over the top. An appropriate reward (such as copies of all manuscripts as you produce them) would not be out of place.
Congratulations to John Ringo and you for the Dragon! ^o^
So I was in Atlanta this weekend as well, but for the Alabama Hand-Egg game. As usual, all the DragonCon folks I ran into were really nice. Rode the MARTA with a guy in a really nice Ninja Turtle costume. The good guys won the sportsball game too, so all in all, a good trip.
I’d love to go to DragonCon, but I ain’t giving up Alabama football. Destined not to be, I suppose.
